Here are a few things to note since this article is from 2007, but still ranks high on SEO:

1) This article is from 2007 and therefore really out-dated in terms of policy and no longer reflects the Angie's List affiliate program at all.

2) Even in this policy ,affiliates were allowed to bid on all keywords except for a small set of protected trademark keywords which Angie's List wasn't interested in competing in (for brand control reasons).

3) These rules were more of guidelines to convince affiliates to email us (the email is now angieslist@revupnet.com), so we could work on more personalized guidelines which match the specific affiliate.

We are always happy to have new affiliates, and SEM affiliates have had great success with the program and make up a significant portion of our sales.

Thanks for looking out for Internet Marks, and bring this to light. Yes we do have to work together.

Well Done.

So what has happened to Angie's List? I'm an affiliate and last week I went to log in and check my stats. Whoa! I was redirected to the directTrack site (they handle the mechanics of Angie's program).

Couldn't log in, because of course, I have an account with them, not directTrack. I emailed Angie's and got an "So sorry, we are directing your case to the appropriate department, yada, yada, yada.

Haven't heard a peep yet.

And it gets better! All my banners (several hundred) have defaulted to a tiny text link. If anyone knows what's going on over there, please let me know.
